St. Oliver Plunkett’s Parents’ Association has been an active part of the school throughout the years and has worked enthusiastically.
Our role is to promote the interest of both parents and children in the school and to adopt a programme of activities, which promotes the involvement of all in the school in consultation with the principal and staff.
The school-family relationship is recognised as very important at Primary School level and parents are advised to be involved in their school.
As parents/guardians we all have one thing in common and that is the interests of our children.
The Parents’ Association is the structure through which we work together with the school for the best possible education for our children.
We hold around 4-5 meetings yearly which allows us to
- Get to know new parents/guardians.
- Put great ideas forward for extra curricular activities and resources for the kids.
- Keep informed about developments at school.
- Be a forum for discussion about the needs and concerns that parents/guardians may have.
- Be involved in the kids school community and be a part of exciting days at school.
We are continually seeking new volunteers for our wonderful Parents Association, so please get in touch if you are willing to volunteer your time. New faces and fresh ideas are always welcome.
